DUE SEASON

TOPIC: Due Season

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE: Galatians 6:9 (KJV) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Be Encouraged

A few days ago, I overheard a mother of four sharing the difficulties of one of her pregnancies. "There were good and bad days, but my third trimester was the worst," she said. But what helped her get through it all was focusing on the due date. The due date helped her manage her expectations and know that the season of discomfort would end soon.

Life is like pregnancy in many ways. Are you expecting God to fulfill a promise or answer a prayer? Are you praying for a financial breakthrough, a future mate, healing, or a turnaround in your child's life? Your faith in God is the assurance that it exists for you.

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Through good and bad days, if you're expecting, the manifestation of what you are hoping for is growing on the inside of you, although you can't see it. It hasn't occurred because it is not due. It cannot arrive prematurely.

So, be not weary in well-doing. You must keep eating, keep growing, keep studying, keep developing skills, keep preparing, keep honoring God, keep working hard, and never stop praying, for, in the due season, you shall reap if you don't give up.

  • Discouragement is a sign you're on the right path. Satan can't stop you, so he tries to make you give up. Rebel against the devil.
  • Encountering giants (battles too big for you to win on your own) indicates that you have left the wilderness and have just entered the promised land. They are there to make you fear and stop trusting God. This is the time to seek God like never before and do what He tells you. He will lead you to victory every time.
  • There is a saying that it is always darkest before dawn. It's true. No matter how dark the situation is, light is coming.

Discouragement leaves when we manage our expectations correctly. No matter how the mother felt from day to day, she could not make the baby come before its time. But knowing the due date helped her to endure. If you have a desire, faith (belief with accompanying works), and a promise from God, you have a due date. You have a due season to look forward to.

Hebrews 10:36 (NKJV) For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Let's look at how this reads in The Amplified version:

Hebrews 10:36 (AMP) For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.

The promises of God have two parts: God's part and your part. You won't receive the promise until you fulfill your part first. It's like fast food in that you must pay up-front and in full before you receive what you're expecting.

Remember this: Discouragement leaves when we manage our expectations correctly.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Quiet your mind, wait on God for at least 5 minutes, and immediately write down your thoughts afterward.
2. Then, go through today's message again.
3. Make up your mind to keep expecting. Stay encouraged. Don't give up. God is faithful.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. Thank you for keeping me and helping me to manage my expectations. Strengthen me, Lord. Help me not give up on what I am praying to receive, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

We can reach the world and connect people to God through the Gospel with your ongoing faithful support.  Through your giving, we can also help more people through our outreaches as the hands and feet of Jesus sharing the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.  Hurting people learn what it means to live for God, and His love for them transforms them.

You may give easily and securely using the Giving tab below on the app or the Give page on our website. May God bless you according to His promise in the Scripture below.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Notice: Until you are born again (from above), you will never know the riches of God's love and tender mercy towards you. You must be born again to enjoy lasting victory in this world. Please say the displayed prayer below in faith:

Dear Lord, I come to You now, just as I am.  You know my life.  You know how I've lived.  Forgive me, Lord.  I repent of my sins.  I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for my sins, and on the third day, He rose from the dead. Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart.  Live Your life in me and through me from now on.  From this day forward, I belong to You, in the Name of Jesus, Amen."

The very moment you commit your life to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. If you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, a miracle has just taken place in your life, and there's a brand-new you! CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the Kingdom of God.

Please contact us and tell us that you've prayed to receive Jesus as your Savior.
