Dead to What

TOPIC: Wisdom

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 21:16 (KJV) The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Fear of The Lord

If you've ever read a Bible verse and understood what it said but didn't understand its meaning, that was my dilemma whenever I read this Scripture. But I kept being drawn to it.

After meditating on it and reading every translation I could find, I finally asked the Holy Spirit in my most reverent whisper sprinkled with a tinge of impatience, "Lord, why do You keep showing me this verse? What am I supposed to get from it?"

Immediately, it occurred to me to question the verse. So, I read it aloud, "The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead." Then I asked the Scripture, "dead to what?" and immediately received the words in my thoughts, "dead to everything understanding brings."

WOW!!!
Okay.

Understanding brings peace, joy, and insight. It brings freedom of time with money to support it and solutions to critical issues. With understanding, we nurture good relationships and avoid bad ones. We also prepare for future opportunities and seasons of uncertainty alike. In a nutshell, understanding is godly wisdom, and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of that wisdom.

Have you ever felt stuck in the same scene in the movie of life? The characters may change, and the years have changed, but your circumstances repeat themselves. If you feel like you've been traveling around the same mountain or no matter how big of a splash you make, nothing becomes of it; there is a wisdom problem. The fear of the Lord and complying with His Word is the beginning of your change of story.

Without this first step, your destiny, satisfaction, and fulness of joy will be just beyond reach, and you will remain in the congregation of those dead to everything understanding brings.

Remember this: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Proverbs 9:10 NKJV).

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Notice: Until you are born again (from above), you will never know the riches of God's love and tender mercy towards you. You must be born again to enjoy lasting victory in this world. Please say the displayed prayer below in faith:

Dear Lord, I come to You now, just as I am.  You know my life.  You know how I've lived.  Forgive me, Lord.  I repent of my sins.  I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for my sins, and on the third day, He rose from the dead. Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart.  Live Your life in me and through me from now on.  From this day forward, I belong to You, in the Name of Jesus, Amen."

The very moment you commit your life to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. If you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, a miracle has just taken place in your life, and there's a brand-new you! CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the Kingdom of God.
