Meditation

TOPIC: Meditation

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE: Psalm 5:1 (KJV)
“Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Make Meditation A Part of Your Daily Routine

Meditation in one word is powerful! An easy way to understand the power of meditation is to understand how reading works. Reading and meditation share some of the same processes.

When we read, we self-talk. That leads our conscious mind to create images of the words we say to ourselves. Comprehension takes place and is then filtered through our value system to be assessed as truth or untruth. That is why we generally believe what we read—especially if the information does not conflict with our value system.

We were created to believe what we say. So when we read, we self-talk and then we believe what we hear ourselves say.

When we meditate scripture, we create lasting mental images from visualization and self-talk. The visualization could be images of words, pictures, sounds and/ or feelings. When we visualize, we project the images in our minds as if they were actually happening. This is done repetitively. Thus, meditation involves repetitive visualization and self-talk, which can then lead to illumination.

Illumination is spiritual insight—also known as revelation—which if acted upon will cause acceleration in achievement. It will also change the way we think (renew our mind)  and build our faith.

The good thing about this process is that it is a law, which means it is guaranteed to work for us if we do it. It is important to note, however, that evil people also use this law to meditate on that which is detrimental to others and to accelerate in their achievement of evil things.

Sometimes, I use a juicer in the morning to make fresh fruit and vegetable juice for my breakfast. In order to make the juice, I cut up the fruit and vegetables, put them in the juicer and then use a pusher to put pressure on them against the grinding blade which extracts the juice. Now, let’s apply that same concept to illumination to understand what happens to the Word of God when we meditate it.

  1. We put the scriptures into our minds one piece at a time by memorizing them.
  2. We then put pressure on the Word through repetitive visualization and self-talk (meditation) which finally extracts revelation.
  3. When we meditate on the Word of God long enough, the Word has a voice in and of Himself. In time, that voice will speak to us—whether audible or as an unction in our spirit.

That is why I believe the answers to ANY problem on earth—whether it is related to family, faith, finances, health, business challenges or anything else—can be discovered using the powerful combination of confessing and meditating God’s Word.

Confessing and meditating God’s Word puts us in agreement with what God said and therefore pleases God. It also produces change in our attitude and behavior and empowers us to “observe to do” what God said.

Remember this: Meditation is the quickest way to renew our mind, thus changing the way we think, which will change the choices we make, and ultimately make us a better person.

Hurting people are transformed from the inside out as they learn what it means to live for God and be loved by Him.

You may give easily and securely using the Giving tab below on the app or the Give page on our website. May God bless you according to His promise in the scripture below.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Notice: Until you are born again (from above), you will never know the riches of God's love and tender mercy towards you. You must be born again to enjoy continuous victory in this world. Please say the displayed prayer below in faith:

Dear Lord, I come to You now, just as I am.  You know my life.  You know how I've lived.  Forgive me Lord.  I repent of my sins.  I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God,  that He died for my sins and on the third day,  He was raised from the dead.  Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart.  Live Your life in me and through me from now on.  From this day forward, I belong to You, in the Name of Jesus, Amen."

The very moment you commit your life to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. If you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, a miracle has just taken place in your life and there’s a brand-new you!  CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the Kingdom of God.

Please contact us and let us know that you’ve prayed to receive Jesus as your Savior.
