The Power of Unity

Devotions by Jason Hale

TOPIC: The Power of Unity.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE: Psalm 133:1-3 (KJV)
1. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2. It is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3. As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Unity is good and pleasant.

When the Bible calls something good, it is not referring to “good” as we know it. We have varying degrees of good, e.g., good, great, greater, and greatest. What the Bible calls “good,” is that which is pleasing to God; in harmony with His Word; and beneficial to all men.

There is no middle ground with God--either it is completely good, or it is completely evil. Unity is good because it reflects God. Unity is also pleasant because it is an expression of harmony, which is an expression of God.

God manifests Himself as “God - The Father,” for the sake of creation; “God - The (Word) Son,” for the sake of salvation; and “God-The Holy Spirit,” for the sake of regeneration.

It is clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 15:28 that, when all things are finally subdued, resumption will take place. In that instance, as the kingdom is being delivered up to God, He will no longer have three manifestations with three distinct functions. Instead, He will be all in all.

1 Corinthians 15:28 (KJV) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Although His manifestations have three distinct functions, His manifestations are united for the cause of reaping the souls of men.

So, to be unified, means that there is agreement and harmony between people. When this happens, it is very pleasant and can produce feelings of peace and satisfaction.

Psalms 133 says that it is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments. This means that whatever blessing that comes on the leader of a unified people, will flow down to all of its members.

This scripture also states, that the Lord commands the Blessing where there is unity and agreement; even life forevermore. So if you want to bring the Blessing of God to your home, get unified. If you want to bring life to your business, get united for the same cause. If you want to see your Church reach its potential, get everyone united for the same cause. Work becomes easier when there is unity and results get accelerated.

It is at the point of unity, that the Lord commands the Blessing.

I decree that everything that pertains to you shall receive the blessing of unity, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Unity is pleasant because it is an expression of harmony, which is an expression of God.

With your ongoing faithful support, we can reach the world and connect people to God through the Gospel.  Through your giving, we can also help more people through our outreaches as the hands and feet of Jesus sharing the love and hope found in Jesus Christ. Hurting people are transformed from the inside out as they learn what it means to live for God and be loved by Him.

You may give easily and securely using the Giving tab below on the app or the Give page on our website. May God bless you according to His promise in the scripture below.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Notice: Until you are born again (from above), you will never know the riches of God's love and tender mercy towards you. You must be born again to enjoy continuous victory in this world. Please say the displayed prayer below in faith:

Dear Lord, I come to You now, just as I am.  You know my life.  You know how I've lived.  Forgive me Lord.  I repent of my sins.  I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God,  that He died for my sins and on the third day,  He was raised from the dead.  Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart.  Live Your life in me and through me from now on.  From this day forward, I belong to You, in the Name of Jesus, Amen."

The very moment you commit your life to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. If you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, a miracle has just taken place in your life and there’s a brand-new you!  CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the Kingdom of God.

Please contact us and let us know that you’ve prayed to receive Jesus as your Savior.
